New Tower on the Block

I went on a tour recently of the incomplete building called Museum Tower in Downtown Dallas. The tour started on ground level and our guide talked up the building. I was uninterested in the talk and completely interested in a scale model of the completed tower. It looked clean, perfect and indifferent to fact that it was just a scale model to something greater.

Eventually the tour moved along to the construction site. We took a hoist up to the third floor and then up higher to the 15th floor. That's where I took the photo above. Its called Museum Tower presumably because of its location in the Dallas Arts District. In photograph is the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Crow Collection of Asian Art. The tower's construction of mostly glass walls will allow for an incredible view of the museums I mentioned but also the rest of the district.

The view of the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is especially nice for me since its my favorite structure in downtown Dallas. I would love to live at Museum Tower, but a single unit ranges from 1.3 million dollars to 2 million dollars. But that's alright because I work a block away from it and that's good enough for me.
